BRIEF PROFILE OF THE COLLEGE
Intercontinental College of Technology is a tertiary institution (Polytechnic) located in Makurdi, Benue State, Nigeria.
It was established by Oracle Business Limited in the year 2020, a diversified manufacturing company with interests in various sectors, which has long recognized the critical need for skilled manpower in Nigeria's industrial landscape. Despite its efforts to recruit and train personnel, the company has consistently faced shortages of qualified technicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs. This challenge is not unique to the company, as many other companies in the country face similar difficulties in finding competent personnel to drive their operations.
In response to this pressing need, the company conceived the idea of establishing a vocational training center to address its human resources requirements. However, as the company delved deeper into the issue, it became clear that the problem was not just limited to its own operations, but was in fact a widespread challenge affecting many industries in Nigeria.
Thus, the initial vision for a small skill training center has evolved into a more comprehensive and ambitious project - the establishment of Intercontinental College of Technology, Makurdi-Nigeria, a private Polytechnic dedicated to providing high-quality technical education and training.
This institution is designed to produce skilled technicians, engineers, and entrepreneurs who can meet the human resources needs in the industrial sector in Nigeria, thereby contributing to the country's economic growth and development.
